With only 2 points from the opening 2 games for German powerhouse Bayern Munich, any more tension-causing news can be done without. However it seems things may not be too rosy at the moment either.

Franck Ribery has voiced his dissatisfaction in Louis van Gaal’s, Bayern headcoach, decision to deploy him in his current position behind the 2 front strikers, at the head of a diamond midfield.

Franz Beckenbaeur (club president) also believes the French winger is more suited to play on the left wing saying,

“I understand that Franck wants to play on the left. There he has more room; he can show his pace and dribble past opponents. It suits his game more.”

Whatever it is, the question of where Ribery wants/should play will be a debate for another week as he looks to miss this weekend’s round of matches with Bayern scheduled to meet newly promoted club, Mainz.

Bayern head coach was quoted saying to Bild,

“Ribery needs more practice before playing a match again. We’ve made the decision to let him work on his physical trouble for at least one week. Maybe he can play in the match against Wolfsburg if he gets some rest this week.”

This is gonna get interesting. :D
